Background

Discovery Offshore is a ship brokerage firm specialising in a broad range of offshore and subsea operations, backed by 20 years' experience in the maritime industry.

The founders set up Discovery Offshore in 2024 to move away from the outdated practices common in the industry. The aim was simple: provide a better brokerage service by combining modern technology with an extensive network of industry contacts built up over two decades.

That experience has given us a reputation for integrity and professionalism across offshore wind farm developments, subsea operations, subsea survey, oil and gas support and civil engineering projects.

Over the years, our team has worked with charterers and vessel operators worldwide, helping to provide vessels for projects in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and South East Asia. Every market has its own complications, and we know them well enough to find solutions that fit each client's project, with every transaction handled carefully from start to finish.

Sectors

Our team has a thorough understanding of the ship brokerage market and offshore operations. Knowing how the market moves means we can advise clients properly on chartering, vessel purchases and sales.

Offshore wind

We've supplied vessels across the life of offshore wind farm developments: geophysical and geotechnical survey vessels, seabed preparation campaigns, cable installation support and trenching, construction support, and operations and maintenance vessels.

Subsea

We've also supported a number of subsea operations, including inspection, maintenance, installation and decommissioning, using both WROV vessels and dive support vessels.

Vessels and owners

We put a lot of value on long-term relationships with clients and vessel operators, and on giving a personal service for complex offshore operations. The vessels we work with range from crew transfer vessels and survey vessels through to construction support vessels, dive support vessels, jack-ups, and specialist subsea and offshore wind support vessels.

Through our relationships with shipowners and operators worldwide, we can give clients access to a wide range of offshore support vessels at competitive rates and on good terms.

Director and shipbroker. Mark handles every enquiry personally, across chartering and sale and purchase, and works alongside co-brokers in the UK and Singapore on larger and overseas requirements.
